J’ai une tendance groupie, je sais, je sais... Je ne deviens pas hystérique quand je vois un groupe que j’aime sur scène, mais je saute partout, je crie, j'ai le sourire aux lèvres. Enfin je suis heureuse quoi, y’a pas de mal à ça quand même ?
Alors voici le New Young Pony Club, a band electropop un peu electropute ; univers coloré, rose et dérangé, Tahita Bulmer, un peu de girl power…

Yes, I have done it. What you wonder? 

I have gotten this winter's coveted pixie cut. Ok, so maybe not coveted by all, but I can for one tell you that it's flattering, oh so comfy and yes, you look better when uncoiffed. 

Two days ago I went to the Saatchi Gallery just off King's road where the art is weird and yet bizarrely trendy and where you know that you're not the only one who doesn't fully get it. And on the cover of the gallery's magazine, Warhol's forever stylish and gorgeous muse: Edie Sedgwick, whose trademark haircut is not unlike the one I am now sporting. 

A trednsetter, a household name, an icon: people, let's get edie-fied!

Nous savons toutes (oops, tous ?) que la mode n’est qu’un éternel recommencement, mais là ça sent la nostalgie à plein nez (d’ailleurs ce n’est pas la chanson de Sébastien Schuller qui nous contredira)… Certes le col lavallière semble avoir fait son temps en 2007 (quoique ?), mais le blazer bleu marine est bien là, partout, omniprésent et (s’) imposant - que celui qui n'a pas suivi les tribulations de Géraldine de Café Mode me jette la première pierre (ou autre, chaussures à noeuds préférées).
Et le sautoir alors, dépassé ? Plus « chic » que la ribambelle de colliers prônée par la Peltag, plus sage que les clous si prisés par les modeuses de Paris (et d’ailleurs), lui aussi a l’air de vouloir (re)pointer le bout de son nez dans les prochains mois…


Wir wissen alle (Frauen, Männer, doch, wir lieben alle), dass die Mode ein ständiger Wiederbeginn ist, aber jetzt sieht es total wie Nostalgie aus (und Sébastien Schullers Lied kann dieser Sache nicht widersprechen)… Vielleicht ist die Künstlerschleife (Sagt man so ? Sehen Sie, die Hemdbluse mit einer Schleife !) sehr „2007“, aber das Blaue Blazer trägt heutzutage jede Frau an…
Und was über die lange Halskette der 20er Jahren ? Ganz schick und artig ist es, und sichtlich wird sie in die nächsten Monaten ihr Comeback feiern…

I love this new found skirt. High-wasted, knee-length, perfectly tiered. It kind of makes me think of a rose. And teamed with an all black ensemble it stands out even more. Long gone are the days when HM gave us cheap prices and cheap fabrics, long live the cheap and chic HM era.

I have already been introduced by the fantastic co-founder and co-writer of the blog but let me add some things about myself. I love fashion. I actually live for fashion. When I wake up in the morning I'm thinking fashion, clothes and cool combinations. I think that fashion is one of the world's greatest art forms: after all who would dream of wearing a Kandinsky or a Man Ray, but you can actually wear Balenciaga or Dior. 

Fashion allows you to show the world not only the person you are but the person you want to be. 

And that's what this blog is all about. It's about allowing ourselves to dream, it's about showing ourselves the way we want to be seen and seeing the world the way we want to see it. So, welcome.
